Located in the west of the Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province with less than 5 miles away from the West Lake, the Xixi National Wetland Park is a rare of the secondary wetlands in the city with the rich ecological resources, plain natural landscape and deeply profound cultural accumulation. It is called the “Three West” along with the West Lake and Xiling Society of Seal Arts”, and it is the only National Wetland Park as a combination of urban wetland, farming wetland and cultural wetland in China. Located in the cool mountain national nature reserve of the Linan city, northwestward of the Zhejiang province, the Grand Canal is the longest canal with best vegetation protection, best landscape scenery with mountain and rivers, least resident population in the canyon area and the shortest distance from Shanghai and Hangzhou city. The canal featuring the high mountains and rushing waters, whose mountains are the Huangshan extended -odd arteries and water is the origin of the Qiantang river water system.

With a total length of 80 kilometers, the Canyon tourist area is characterized by linear band. It is divided into three sections: the first section starts from Longgang Tower to the Fish Jump the Eight Immortals Pound, which is called ” Longjing Gorge”, which is 18 kilometers long with spectacular peaks and beautiful waterfall and perilously precipitous rocks. The second section starts from the Fish Jumping the Huaguang Bridge to the Creek on the Crown Tip, which is called “The Creek Gorge” with about 26 kilometers. In this section, the canyon topography is high and steep, and the water flows and rushes quickly, and it is the only region to produce the national treasure—bloodstone in China. The third section, called “Zhejiang Gate Gorge”, starts from the Creek on the Crown Tip to the Ma Xiao lion rock ridge village and it is nearly 30 kilometers long, where you can see the mountain and waterfalls telescoped and some famous marvelous spectacle that will shock you.

Peak Flown From Afar, located near the Lingyin Temple, is the rare ancient grottoes art treasures in Jiangnan area, which can be comparable to the Dazu grottoes in Sichuan province. It has attracted numerous travelers from home and abroad to have a visit there, among which including the famous poet Sudongpo who had described the beautiful Peak Flown From Afar in his poems.

Peak Flown From Afar belongs to the limestone in terms of geologic structure and it is different from the surrounding mountains because of its odd rocks, ancient trees and secluded caves. There is a ligong Tower in the cave of the Longhong Cave of the Peak Flown From Afar, which is the only one Ming Dynasty Tower existing nowadays. It is featuring six sides and six floors, simplicity in structure and unique style and it is made of stone. There is also a CuiWei Pavilion in the middle hillside of the Peak Flown From Afar, small and exquisite, with the mountain path winding around. It looks simple but elegant among the pines of old-growth trees, and it is built to memorize Yufei, a hero in South Song Dynasty. In the cliff of the caves and the creeks of the Peak Flown From Afar, you will also find various Stone Carvings from the Five Dynasties to the Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty with a total number of more than 470 (among which 335 is well preserved). Lingyin Temple, located in the northwest side of the West Lake, is also called the “ Yunlin Temple” and it is a famous Buddhist temple in China. It belongs to the West Lake scenic area and also one of the famous ancient temple in Jiangnan area.

Lingyin Temple is firstly built in Dongjin period ( AD 326 years), and it has a long history of about 1,700 years. It is the earliest ancient temple in Hangzhou and also one of the top ten ancient temples of the Zen Buddhism in China. Located in the west of the Lingyin mountain of the West Lake, with its back is BeiGaoFeng and faces the Peak Flown From Afar and both two peaks carrying sceneries to decorate the green forest and trees, deep mountains, ancient temple and various cloud. The Lingyin Temple nowadays are rebuilt on the basis of the reconstruction in the late Qing dynasty. Its distribution are similar with the jiangnan temple pattern, which divided into three main halls on the central axis of the temple, in turn, for the great hall, Ursa major, YaoShiDian three main halls: the Tianwang Hall, the Daxiong Hall and the Yaoshi Hall.

Wuzhen, being an AAAAA level attraction in China, is one of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan area with a history of more than six thousand years. It is a typical water ancient town enjoying the reputation of “ Land of fish and rice, the mansion of silk.”It has been listed as the historical ans cultural famous town in Zhejiang province in 1991 and this ancient town started its protection and tourism development project in 1999.

The Six Harmonies Pagoda is the best place to view the tide and it is built to deal with the Qiantang tide by Wuyue emperor in the North Song Dynasty. The Six Harmonies Pagoda features seven sides and eight floors with the height of 59.89 meters. Being one of the six ancient water town in Jiangnan area, the Xitang water town is located in the Jiashan County, the junction site of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang province. With 10 kilometers aways from the Jiashan city center, the Xitang has a population of 86,000 and covers an area of 83.61 square kilometers, of which the ancient town area is 1.04 square kilometers. It is a AAAA scenic spot with a history of about one thousand year and has been listed in the tentative list of the World Historical Cultural Heritage in 2001 by the the United Nations.

Located in the Chunan County of Hangzhou city, the Thousand Islets Lake is a AAAAA level scenic area in China and one of the only two thousand islets in the world( the other one in Canada with more than 1800 islets). Covering an area of about 567 square kilometers, the  Thousand Islets Lake features stretching mountains and luxuriant forests with its greening rate 100% and glittering and clear water whose visibility can reach 12 meters, and it is honored as the “No. 1 Water under the Haven.”

The Thousand Islets Lake is characterized by deep water, whose average depth is 34 meters and the deepest is 108 meters, and there are 1078 islets on the lake, showing as the branches of the type for the travelers.
